What’s Your Password?

A major security company just released another annoying and alarming statistic:  the most common password in the world is still 123456.

Yup.  Goobers!  It’s almost as if people are inviting people to hack their online accounts.  In 2016, you’ve got to be better at password protecting your world.

In fact, Keeper Security says the most common passwords in 2016 are:

  • 123456
  • 123456789
  • qwerty
  • 12345678
  • 111111
  • 1234567890
  • 1234567
  • password
  • 123123
  • 987654321

Every one of these are easy to hack.  Every one of these should have been eliminated from your password list about 10 years ago.

It’s difficult to come up with a new password for every online portal you visit but it’s so important to keep your info safe.

Evey sites like Get My PERKS builds in security to help make sure you have secure access and checkout — but NO system is perfect (just ask every major bank that has been hacked in the last 5 years).

Make it a resolution to update your passwords every six months.  That one simple move could save your credit, your bank account, your social media accounts and more.
