PERKS Recipe Winner: Hot Wine Cranberry Punch

Anything with a little wine is OK in our book.  Try this boozie recipe from Joe D. out of Rochester.


  • Whole cloves
  • 1 bottle (5th) red wine – Burgundy, Cabernet, Blend – any hearty dry red wine
  • 4 cinnamon sticks (or more – to taste)
  • 1 lemon or orange
  • Cherries – optional
  • 24 oz. Cranberry juice or Cranberry juice cocktail  


Combine ingredients in crock pot or on stove on very low heat for 1 -2 hours

Serve hot from a crock pot floating lemon or orange slices garnished with additional cloves and cherry, if you choose, just before serving. You will find that the aroma is almost as delicious as the punch!

* The ratio of wine to juice is just an estimate. I suggest to start out with about 16 oz. of cranberry juice per 5th of wine and add more to your taste.
